Mark

Executive Director

markh@interserveusa.org

Mark is committed to living out the Great Commission by raising, preparing, and sending workers to communities in North Africa, Asia and the Middle East where the needs are the greatest. As executive director of Interserve USA, he invites others to follow Christ wherever he leads and embrace their role in serving the “hard places” filled with people who have never encountered Christ.

Throughout his career, Mark has served Christ in several different capacities – including as an entrepreneur, pastor, and cross-cultural servant. He spent two decades in central Minnesota as a business analyst, IT consultant, and church planter before moving with his family to Ukraine to join God’s work there. While in Ukraine, Mark taught business at a local university, opened a school for English learners, and started a local church that sent out a hundred followers of Jesus as cross-cultural ambassadors.

In 2017, Mark and his wife, Kim, returned to the United States with their three sons to train leaders in a more global capacity. For four years, Mark built collaborative processes and refined organizational processes as chief operating officer of Entrust in Colorado Springs, Colo. In 2021, he joined Interserve USA to maximize its impact around the world and make Christ known in places where few, if any, have met a follower of Jesus.
